Despite there not being much evidence of upward growth, all three plants are showing signs of filling out with a lot of secondary shoots:
I've found the first evidence of cones on the Willamette, which is the shortest, smallest plant on the left:
There aren't a lot of them yet but there's still some time yet. Both of the other two plants have cones that are beginning to actually look like cones, rather than small hairy sprouts. Here's the Cascade:
These cones are still very green. At this point I don't know how much longer it will take for them to dry out on their own. This will be complicated by trying to move them I suspect, which may well bring this on before they would otherwise. Will keep you posted.
